Nurturing our children for leadership aims to help you develop your own philosophy of parenting based on Parenting for Angel Eyes framework which comes from years of research, biblical teaching and resources that are relevant and up to date with best practices.
"Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile." - Vince Lombardi
We encourage parents to see themselves as God's ambassadors. Children are created to live under God's authority. This frees us the feelings of inadequacy, being responsible for our child's behaviour or wanting to take control. Jeremiah 29:1.
It is important that our response to our children's behaviour communicates that they are heard, they are seen, they matter, they are safe and they are loved beyond measure or condition. Building a strong relationship and finding ways to connect with our children provides opportunities for parents to coach their child to be godly leaders.Deuteronomy 6:6-9
We provide tools to help us take an honest look at your own behaviour. Tools to help us deal with our own pain, stress, struggles, needs, fears, and triggers and communicate love. Each child is unique and the same tools don’t work with everyone, so it is important that we understand how to use the tools to nurture the leader within a child effectively. 1 Thessalonians 5:14
Instead of relying on incentives, treats, rewards and punishments, we provide strategies to help parents move from behaviour modification to a heart-based approach to parenting. You will learn to identify character qualities to address problems, build long-terms goals that will help a child develop the internal motivation they will need to be responsible and mature leaders. Proverbs 20:5; 1samuel 16:2.
Nurturing the leadership potential in our children not only helps them to become a positive influence in the world and fullfill their god given purpose, but also helps them to be more discerning about how the world influences them. Colossians 2:8; Luke 6:45
As you implement Parenting With Angel Eyes framework, you will find yourself assessing your parenting style and personality, allowing yourself to be moulded by a biblical framework and a grace-based, heart-based approach to parenting. You will gain a greater perspective to parenting as you create long term goals and visions with confidence, motivation and faith.
Parenting is one of the hardest yet most rewarding jobs. Our goal is to help you seek an understanding of the areas that need to be improved upon. Recognising that there is no perfect parent, neither is a there any perfect child, we encourage parents to set aside perfection as we build on areas of strength.
We teach topics such as, effective boundaries, building positive relationships, effective communication, discipline that connects and builds a positive self-esteem.
